a common housewife in the fast lane

 Life goes on

Church was great last night....especially the nice dinner afterwards. The baked beans that I put on tortilla chips were to die for.....actually I DID feel like I was going to die of indigestion sometime in the middle of the night, but they were really good going down, you know what I'm sayin'?

Today was pretty low-key...mostly a stay at homer. I met the youngish mom who lives in the large Victorian behind where I live. Her house is huge and backyard small but everything is so pretty. She's nice and going to put me in contact with some people she knows. Networking............works for me!

Friday was bill-paying day.....felt good to take care of some important 'infrastructure' (as Caleb would say) things. The green stuff is still something of a struggle to get enough of but that's okay. God is providing and I am doing well. One advantage is that through the fasting I've done I can go looooong periods of time without real food. A couple little blue algae pills and some liquid and I'm good to go, you know? I just have to be careful at those church suppers.....that potluck thing has taken on new significance lately...know what I'm sayin'?

Much to do tomorrow. I'm liking being busy. Seriously. My whole adult life has been one of becoming busier and busier and not turning away something just because I'm "too busy". Believe me, just taking care of myownself now doesn't seem so hard after all of that.

music: Thanks for getting in touch with me. Check your e-mail, 'kay? Love you.

 Direction

Wow...last night was a GREAT night. I was able to do something that I always LOVE to do for a friend and while no exact money was made, contacts were, and it was fun. This is the beginning of something huge for someone I know and I feel priviliged to be a part of it.
Now I have some inkling of what I'm "supposed" to be doing and it feels good. Very good.

Aside from that things are about the same...not where I'd like them to be yet but moving, always moving, in that direction. I have a roof over my head, I'm not hungry, and I'm meeting some interesting characters in my life. That last part makes life worth living, amen? God is good to me.

Planning to go to church tonight. Again, I'm not much for what is known as "organized religion" and will never be a member of that again but this is about as far from that scenario as one can get and still be in regular church. The music is loud and the people are non-judgmental.......just like I like it.

 Thinking of you.......................

Ryan and Linda: Thank you sooo much for everything. You guys are awesome and I love you. I hope I don't lose touch with you. BTW, there may still be some mail in your box but the one I was looking for is where I am so don't worry. Love you both. PS. I am still thinking about that awesome store we went to Ryan. The one where I got the sage burner. Wow. Thanks for taking me there.

Courtney: You have no idea how much I appreciate everything. I had a blast. Please stay in touch and let me know how the boys are doing. I love you all so much. Say hi to everyone there for me and tell them I won't forget them. Say hi to your Dad for me and thank him for the Snickers, 'kay? That was the sweetest........

Calebson: Don't worry. Everything is good and I'm very good. E-mail me, 'kay? Love you.

Vickie: Glad things are going well with your moving. Isn't God good? Stay in touch. You have been the most wonderful friend through this whole thing. I love you girlfriend.

Ashley: Ask Caleb for my e-mail. Please stay in touch...I love you. I haven't given up on the plan you had. Say hi to Shayne for me, 'kay? Love you.

Tricia: You remind me of me in some ways....wholehearted and loyal to your friends. I'm glad I can be counted as one of them now. Love you.

Mindpower and Chells: Our communication was a long time ago and my blog isn't open for comments anymore but I wanted to thank you for the wonderful messages that you left me earlier and they still minister to me. Love you guys.

Sammy Jo: Thank you so much for your encouragement, love and support. I know the day is coming when we will meet. I love you.

Squabbler: You MUST know I still love ya. Sorry things are so messed up but I came over to The Lodge to see how you are doing, and saw the pictures of your house. I see you're taking good care of your plants. Brought back memories. I hear good things about your Dad.

Lucy: Would love to hear from you if you want to write. Ask Vickie for my e-mail, 'kay?

Biggie: I don't know if you ever check my blog but I just want you to know that Denis and I miss hanging with you at the Q. Love you.

music: Love you baby, forever and ever.

 It's all good

Not to worry....I am alive and well and not quite the pushover that SOME people (Caleb and Courtney) think I am (you KNOW I love you guys forever, right?) *smooch*

Anyway, stay in touch and I will fill you in on the details. This new thing is not about me or anyone else....this is about God using me in the situation, and isn't that what I've always prayed for? That God would use me? Seriously. Please don't worry.

Love you,
POH

PS. re:previous post.....prayers, baby.....gotsta LOVE them prayers! God is sooooo good, isn't He? Thanks.
