This is a reprint of a part of an essay I wrote last winter. I am reposting it here to bring this subject to the forefront of our attention again. The subject of abortion is not one that pro-lifers feel is up for 'debate'. If you believe that abortion, the killing of a healthy embryo in the womb, is murder....then the debate is over. Murder is murder. For a pro-'choice' (and I use that word 'choice' loosely) person to think that they will in anyway change a pro-lifer's mind on this matter is being ignorant of the facts and delusional. Most intelligent pro-lifers, at least the ones that Little POH knows, are versed well enough on the facts not to be dissuaded by any argument about the mother's convenience.
The MOTHER'S CONVENIENCE???? Don't EVEN get Little POH going on THAT this morning! Life is NOT convenient. Motherhood is exTREMELY NOT convenient. You may not like Little POH after she says this, and that is FINE with me, but if you do not want to get pregnant..........
KEEP YOUR PANTS ON! HELLLLLOOOOOOOO! It's as SIMPLE as that.
Oh, I know, you don't have to tell me, you're going to hit me up with that old line about RAPE! Ask ANY child of RAPE whether they wish they had been born or not...........I have. I have NEVER gotten a negative response. Give the child away if you don't want it......there are plenty of people going to bed every night WANTING what you are throwing in a garbage can.
Gee, even Little POH, who is not so little and not so young anymore, will take your child...........I will! I promise. I may find someone else to raise them, but if you are pregnant and you contact me via PM, I WILL make sure you get the help you need to get through your pregnancy and I WILL find someone who wants a baby to adopt yours.
If you have read this blog today, then NOW you have NO excuse for the rest of your life. Only the excuse that you weren't too inconvenienced to have sex but are too inconvenienced to give your baby, the fruit of your womb, nine little months so that they will have life. If you can't do that then I have no other word for you than selfish.
Sorry, if you don't like that word. Little POH has spent her adult life taking in children she didn't give birth to. I don't have any respect for people who can't give nine months to THEIR OWN!

To suppose that women began having abortions, in America, or anywhere else on the planet, on January 23, 1973, when abortion officially became the law of the land in the United States, is an uninformed and ignorant assumption. Even before Roe vs. Wade, abortion was legal in most states in the case of rape, incest (which is familial rape), and the health of the mother. To say that a repeal of the abortion laws would cause women to be put in danger of their health shows that one is ignorant of the existing laws that were already on the books before the 1970's, and it is an unwarranted excuse used to obscure the true reason why most women have abortions which is because they are generally unmarried, have no money, and/or a pregnancy would be inconvenient for them for life style or career reasons.
Pam Stenzel, a well-known national and international speaker on sexual issues, has openly testified to the fact that she is the product of rape. Her teenage mother would have been well within her rights in the state of Minnesota in 1965 to have an abortion. Yet, this mother did not and went on to give her infant to a family who raised Pam and seven other adopted children. Would Pam have preferred to be aborted? I don’t think she, her husband or their two children would say so. She is a beautiful, vibrant, Christian woman who has dedicated her life to preaching moral and physical health in this country and around the world.
Women, all over the world have been ridding themselves of unwanted pregnancies probably as far back as Adam and Eve. Certainly by the time of Noah, when God declared the earth “corrupt and full of violence” (Genesis 6:11). Since abortion is one of the greatest violent evils known to man, I think I can, with a fair degree of certainty, say that this monstrosity has been perpetuated since that time. We do not like to admit that it is murder and we justify it to ourselves that it cannot be because we cannot see the humanity growing in the darkest of all places on earth, the womb of a mother, and we are not obliged to see the harvest of bones and tissue that are daily suctioned from women’s bodies and tossed in garbage cans. Just as Abel’s blood cries out from the ground to the ear of God (Genesis 4:10), so does the blood of the unwanted lives that came from the Creator to dwell among us.
My son, whom I call Junior for blog purposes, recently participated in a discussion among college students about the subject of abortion. This group of students included Christians and non-Christians. A young girl stood up and said that a fetus is nothing more than a ‘blood clot’.
My son, the blood clot of my womb, stood up and quoted Leviticus 17:11, “The life of the flesh is in the blood”. The only difference between these supposed blood clots and the two young people standing there with the ability to discuss the issue is time and nutrition. Given enough time and enough to eat, that ‘embryo’, which has already been bestowed by God with a mortal soul and an eternal spirit, will emerge as that wonderful baby that we all love to hold, kiss, snuggle and smell. A piece of heaven sent to us. That young girl should go home and thank her mother that she did not abort her ‘blood clot’ twenty years ago.
Maybe abortion stopped for a while during the time right after God wiped out all humanity except for Noah and his kin, but sin was still present in the hearts of the saved, so it was certain to rear it’s ugly head again and God knew it.
My encyclopedia defines abortion as “any interruption of human pregnancy prior to the 28th week”. Sometimes miscarriage is termed “spontaneous abortion” but any half-way intelligent person recognizes that miscarriage is completely different from intentionally ending a healthy pregnancy.
The earliest recorded abortions were practiced in ancient Greece and Rome. During the Middle Ages it was widely accepted in Western Europe in the early months of pregnancy. By the 19th century the general consensus about abortion changed and in 1869 the Catholic Church banned abortion under any circumstances. In England and the United States stringent anti-abortion laws were passed. Attitudes have progressively changed during the 20th century and in early 1973 the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that no state may make any law prohibiting abortion up to six months but in the second trimester may regulate procedures for health purposes. This ruling invalidated many state rules on abortions and overturned restrictive laws in other states. On July 1, 1976 the Supreme Court further ruled that a married woman does not have to inform her husband or obtain his consent and that a female child under the age of 18 does not need parental consent for this procedure.
Since that time we have been a nation in conflict. In spite of the fact that many pro-lifers have been silenced and new laws have erupted prohibiting the protesting of abortion clinics, there are many in the United States who continue to disagree with this mutilation of human life. Do not be deceived, pro-lifers do not feel less strongly about this issue than they did in the 1970’s. Our minds have not changed. Even though George Bush has not been able to do much of anything about this in our country, this was one of the defining issues of his campaign for many of us who are strongly against abortion.
It will continue to be one of the ‘hot topics’ that will ignite each campaign between a liberal and conservative candidate. Even if it doesn’t appear to be discussed very much in television debates, pro-lifers will silently take their opinion to the voting booth. In my life I have discovered that there is little hypocrisy among pro-life proponents. Not only do most anti-abortion believers talk their talk, they quietly walk their walk, taking in teenage girls, guiding them to make right choices, and helping them along their path whenever the girl has shown the very least inclination to seek out the help of a pro-life clinic, relative or neighbor.
For the Christian, one who is ‘Christ’s one’, maintaining a pro-abortion stance and one's intimacy with the God of all life, is an untenable position. When a woman becomes pregnant there is only one way out for the baby. Alive or dead. A lifeless body broken into pieces, by the suction process of early abortion, or a bawling, squalling, wriggling handful of life. One must either compromise with the one the Bible says comes to kill, steal and destroy, or align themselves with Jesus Christ Who comes to give life and that more abundantly (John 10:10). Those Christians who try to play both sides against the middle are either uneducated about the issue of abortion, what the Scripture has to say about abortion, or both.

This article came from a website called "Priests for Life". Lest you think that Little POH is Catholic and that this is a Catholic issue I assure you that I am not and it is not. Stop turning your eyes and your hearts away from the truth. The truth will set you free.

This little baby boy was found frozen in a jar with three other little children at an abortion mill in Dallas, Texas, in February 1993. We were stunned when we found him. There were jars upon jars of frozen children in that abortion mill. Rhonda Mackey, our executive secretary, brought this one jar out and asked me what we should do with it. I had no idea, but I instinctively knew we could not leave it there. We brought the jar to Dr. McCarty, a wonderful ObGyn in Dallas, who put the pieces of this baby and the others back together.
The entire process was put on video as Dr. McCarty, and all who were present, wept at the reconstruction of these precious children. The life that was once there was now gone forever. It became apparent to all of us that God had given us these children, one in particular, to show to the entire world the horror of abortion. One picture can speak louder than a truckload of words.
We prayed, and asked God to allow this little boy to speak to our nation. We remembered the scripture in Hebrews 11:4: "...he still speaks, even though he is dead." It was upon a very specific revelation from our Lord that we had the picture of one baby blown up to poster size. Rhonda asked me if she might have the privilege of naming this little baby boy. She prayed, and God gave her the name that this child would become known by all over the world - Malachi!
This name strikes terror in the hearts of those who kill children, for they know that this child, more than anything else, reveals the incredible horror of what abortion really is.
Yes, he has done that and so much more! Though he is dead, yet he still speaks! Thousands upon thousands of children have been saved because of his precious little life. It lasted only 21 weeks, yet fathers are now joining the battle to defend the defenseless.
We buried Malachi at the Cemetery of the Innocents in Dallas, Texas, in the summer of 1993. The funeral was held at the mammoth front portico of the Dallas City Hall. Hundreds gathered to pay their last respects to Malachi. We loved him deeply though we knew him not. When those in City Hall realized that we were having a funeral for a real child they demanded that the Dallas Police put a stop to the whole funeral. Captain Kowalski, the head of SWAT in Dallas, told his superiors that he would in no way violate this funeral. This man, who had arrested us on several occasions, now joined with us in honoring the life of this one small (so very small) child. He stood for Jesus. HE STOOD!
When he relayed to me that he would not interfere with the memorial service, nor would he allow anyone else to interfere, I wept. I wept because I knew that Captain Kowalski was now taking his stand and all his officers knew it - all City Hall knew it! I wept because I knew that Malachi was beginning his missionary journey and that he was already fulfilling the purpose, for his short life.
Listen to these words, you mothers and fathers who have aborted your children. Listen to these words you, who have failed so miserably and found there is no way to undo the wrong you have done. Hear the word God and your child are speaking to you: "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." Genesis 50:20.
If you know the mother and father of Baby Malachi, would you please tell them that God is using him powerfully to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves? Will you please let them know, that though they intended him harm, God is using it for good? Will you please tell them that God loves them and that the guilt that has driven them so far from Him can be overcome in one divine moment? Please let them know that it is time to come home to Jesus.
Malachi means My Messenger. Malachi's message is that the killing of innocent babies must stop!
